I am currently just wrapping up post-production on a documentary that I'm directing about volunteer paramedics in the Dominican Republic. The DR is the most dangerous country to drive in the entire world and has very little public EMS or Ambulance services. I spent a couple weeks down in the country with a team of paramedics called "Rescate Ambar" who provide, free 24hr emergency response services in Puerto Plata, answering over 3,000 calls a year. They have no government assistance and have to work days jobs in order to support their work as paramedics. Here are some screen-grabs from the edit:
